Olympus Microscopes: Research and Development To Meet Microscopy Challenges
Microscopic inspection and measurement applications are growing increasingly complicated, requiring higher resolutions, greater contrast, faster and more accurate measurements, digital imaging and recording, and more precision than ever before. Three-dimensional inspection and measurement are becoming the rule, as more and more products are miniaturized, microelectronics get smaller and denser, MEMs technology becomes mainstream, and nano becomes the standard of measurement.

To meet these growing microscopy challenges, Olympus continues to commit millions of dollars to research and development, employing an extensive team of engineers and scientists, fully equipped with the latest computer-aided design (CAD) technology, to assist the development of new products for our industrial customers. With special expertise in optical physics, digital electronics, fine mechanics, software and systems engineering, the Olympus development team works in partnership with product, quality, and manufacturing specialists to ensure that quality is both designed and built into every product. Our employees work closely with customers to ensure their needs and expectations are fully considered in the development process of every standard and custom product. Our investment and focus is a sign of our commitment to maintaining Olympus’ worldwide recognition as a technology leader in imaging systems.
